With the word Kitchen in the company name, Kitchen Mart President Dave Hollars understands why people might underestimate the depth and breadth of products and services his business offers.

Yes, Kitchen Mart is a leader in kitchen and bath design. However, Kitchen Mart offers so much more. “We are a complete remodeling organization,” said Hollars. “We hire no subcontractors.”

The no subcontractors promise is a source of pride for Hollars. It’s what allows Kitchen Mart to guarantee its products and services. Because all work is conducted under the Kitchen Mart umbrella of services, customers can count on professionalism from start to finish.

Kitchen Mart handles design, fabrication and custom cabinetry in-house. They provide the plumbing, electrical and drywall services.

Locally owned and operated since 1976, Kitchen Mart has more than 17,000 satisfied customers. Someone on Kitchen Mart’s staff handles everything from demolition to appliance installation.

About 75 percent of all the jobs performed by Kitchen Mart come from repeat customers. One Carmichael couple was so delighted with the outcome of their remodel that they felt compelled to write. “All of your employees were professional, considerate and compassionate, as well as willing to share their expertise and opinions when asked. I particularly appreciated their respectful language and behavior and never felt uncomfortable with them in our home.”

Guaranteeing customer satisfaction is much easier because a Kitchen Mart project manager oversees every aspect of a job.

Sometimes customers are unaware that big box retailers and home improvement stores that promote kitchen remodeling have little to do with a project once cabinet and countertop choices are selected. Most likely, subcontractors will complete the work.

With independent general contractors, everything, including the design, might be outsourced.  Because most customers are focused on the end result, they rarely think about whether subcontractors are licensed or insured. They have no way of knowing if the subcontractor hired to complete wiring is up to date on local building codes.

Those types issues are of no concern with Kitchen Mart because they never use subcontractors. “You don’t get all those variables that can change with subcontractors,” said Hollars.  “Kitchen Mart handles everything. You name it, we do it.”

Kitchen Mart clients can feel at ease knowing that every aspect of their remodel is being handled by a licensed and highly trained professional.

Using subcontractors can often increase the cost of labor. General contractors who hire subcontractors may offset labor costs with hidden fees. Because Kitchen Mart uses no subcontractors, the cost of labor is calculated along with the cost of materials. Estimates are more accurate and any adjustments are most likely made by the customer, not Kitchen Mart.

By managing the entire process of your remodel, Kitchen Mart can finish a project faster. No need to resolve scheduling conflicts with subcontractors. “For instance, with a cabinet refacing project we can be in and out in a week’s time,” said Hollars. “We work tirelessly to provide the best quality kitchen and bath remodeling experience at the most competitive price.”

“Our craftsmen are professionals who take pride in their work. We hire no outside subcontractors, enabling your job to flow smoothly, on time and on budget. Guaranteed,” said Hollars. “After 38 years and over 17,000 happy customers we understand the value of ‘on time’ and ‘on budget’,” said Hollars. “We offer homeowners a proprietary job-flow system that helps ensure their project stays on schedule, from designs phase to final walkthrough.”
