The Hirohatas were interested in a complete tear-out of their old kitchen. A soffet was removed, which changed the ceiling height and allowed for the room to feel more spacious. Their contemporary new kitchen includes custom maple cabinetry with a cinnamon stain, Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, Corian countertops with an integrated sink, glass-tile backsplash, and ‘soft-close’ drawers. Some of the Hirohata’s favorite features include their choice to go with deep drawers in many areas instead of cabinets, the Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and the custom range-hood with built-in shelving.
